How To Make Strawberry Milkshakes From Bananas

This past 3 days I’ve been addicted to strawberry milkshakes. Okay, there are no strawberries in it, but at least it tastes just like it does. The strawberry effect can be achieved with bananas and sala-flavored syrup. (I learned this from Arjarn Yingsak in Talard Sanarm Pao show.)

Strawberry milkshake

The milkshake looks just like this, with the exception of the strawberry on top.

If you’ve got a blender at home, give it a go:

  1. Put a cupful of ice into the blender.
  2. Throw in a banana.
  3. Pour in a little sala-flavored syrup. Use more if you like sweet, but remember that bananas are already sweet. The brand I use is Hale’s Blue Boy.
  4. Pour in 1/4 cup of milk.
  5. Start the blender. Yay!
  6. Empty the contents of the blender into the cup you used for the ice and milk. It should fill up nicely.

Then sit back and enjoy, though if ants regularly walk your kitchen, it might be wise to clean up the blender before you enjoy your treat. This strawberry-ish milkshake is healthier than real strawberry milkshakes, because it doesn’t need lots of syrup to cover up the sourness in strawberries.

I just finished up mine right before this post. I hope I won’t blurp cantaloupe.
