@rerngrit asked me for a banner to adorn his blog, but because of the Drupal theme he’s using, I made him a logo instead. The concept is Java and bicycling, which are his passions.
The Java representation may not be so evident in the logo. Compare:
The shades of orange and blue comply with Sun’s Java logo specifications. Having logo specifications is a must for all entities — companies, institutes, and sites — that wish to be taken seriously, because specifications will ensure that the logo will be consistent wherever it appears, whether on banners, t-shirts, letterheads, or printouts. Logo consistency is a mark that the entity is well-established and trustworthy.
I don’t like it that my logo doesn’t show off Java well; I’d prefer if I could make a banner instead and represent Java by its object-oriented syntax. Anyway, @rerngrit likes it, and as long as the user likes it, I’m happy. :D

Very pretty it is!
It really looks good on the blog.
And I could smell Java before I read the entry, so I guess it represents Java pretty well already.
