Twitter “wiseox” – The Ox that Can Answer Every Question

Today I was followed on Twitter by an ox. Yes, you read it right. An ox. What’s more, it’s no ordinary ox, it’s a wise ox. Wiseox can answer all your questions, if you just twitter it.

That’s what it claims on its website (yes, it’s got one!), so I gave it a try, because man, you know I’m good at that. First, with something simple:

mameou: @wiseox Why is the sky blue?

wiseox: Colour is a reflection of your perceptual landscape. What does blue mean to you?

mameou: @wiseox Thanks, but I don’t understand. Doesn’t the sky appear blue to you, too?

wiseox: Now my sky is grey. Tomorrow it may be blue. Grass tastes better green.

It does prove true to his words; it can indeed answer questions. Having looked through wiseox’s past updates, I know it is not a bot, but a man disguised as a bot, because he only sends his tweets via web and Twitbin. Moreover, the time that elapsed before getting a reply from him is not consistent. From his tweets, spelling color “colour” and gray “grey”, he must be British, true to the location he gave on Twitter (London, England). His replies were quite hard to understand, worded philosophically, but answered all my questions nevertheless.

He must be a guy just hanging around on the computer, having fun. But why would a guy pretend to be an ox to answer people’s questions? To get to his intentions, I poked him a bit more. At this point, @thanr also joined the party by asking Wiseox troll questions.

mameou: @wiseox Interesting. You are very wise. I have always wondered about man. What is your view of man?

wiseox: Ox sees man with two eyes on either side of head.

thanr: @wiseox Will wiseox blend?

mameou: @wiseox Very simple view of man, indeed. What, then, makes you want to answer the questions of man?

wiseox: 2-3 inches wheatgrass, 2 oranges, 1 banana, 1 lime, 12 crushed ice cubes, juice fruit then blend on high for 30 seconds. Stimulating.

thanr: @wiseox Will wiseox play Crysis?

thanr: Playing with @wiseox is fun!!

wiseox: Man has questions, Ox has answers. Simple.

mameou: @wiseox Is it fun answering our questions?

mameou: @wiseox We sure think it’s fun asking you questions! :)

(Long pause.)

thanr: Oh my, the crysis question made @wiseox froze

thanr: @wiseox We can’t live without you, can we?

So that was the last I’ve seen of Wiseox. Maybe our questions drove him away, or maybe it’s his lunch time or something. Hope he’s back soon, because I am falling in love with him. If you guys ever need an answer to anything, try @wiseox. :)
